GHEMME DOCG – 2007

prodotti details

A hot summer with regular intermittent rains made for a great harvest. The stable climatic conditions gave rise to a wine slightly lower in acidity and with a softer fuller body on the palate than is typical.

A bouquet of intense aromas of leather, earth and incense with a slightly spicy note of clove flowers surround the typical intense notes of red fruit and mature cherry. On the palate a good balance between primary and tertiary notes that derive from the exceptional quality of the grapes and the long ageing in French oak which gives extra roundness and elegance by softening the mature tannins.

2007 is perhaps the greatest vintage in the history of the winery.
