GATTINARA DOCG – 2011

2011 was characterized by plenty of rain during spring and by temperatures that constantly rose until September. A warm and dry harvest helped this vintage to stand out as truly outstanding, giving a wine of unusual strength.
 
Vigorous and concentrated, it is subtle and elegant with primary and tertiary notes with all the complexity associated with a great Nebbiolo. A captivating nose is given by hints of rose pot-pourri along with violet, liquorice, leather and tobacco blend together. In the mouth, the powerful tannins have been well integrated by the ageing in wood, leaving a delicious, clean, dry, mineral feel.
