GHEMME DOCG – 2004

prodotti details

A cool, damp summer was fortunately followed by a perfect, dry September with temperatures above the norm and significant differences in temperature between day and night, resulting in a perfect harvest.

An intriguing wine with an exceptional bouquet of tobacco and citrus fruit, a perfect expression of the Nebbiolo grape which combines so well with the softness of the wood notes. On the palate, the wine has extraordinary initial freshness which develops into complexity, persistence and fullness. Ghemme 2004 vintage was the first wine from the winery to be awarded the ‘Tre Bicchieri’ by Gambero Rosso, the ultimate accolade for an Italian wine.
